Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you for taking the time to visit our page…
To date, the double-disaster in Japan has left over 10,000 people dead and more than 17,000 missing. Those left behind are forced to cope not only with their own terrible grief (many still searching for loved ones - entire families in some cases - their fate unknown), but also with homelessness, hunger and sub-zero temperatures.
And yet, this unimaginable adversity has brought the best out of the
Japanese people. They have pulled together - neighbor helping
neighbor – and together are bearing their fate with inspirational dignity, stoicism and humanity.
I have been touched by their courage, and have been inspired to do my bit to help the people of Japan rebuild their lives. And so, I taking on the somewhat Herculean challenge of running 100K in ten days – yep, that’s a 10K race, every day for ten days straight!
For those who don’t know, the most I’ve ever run before is 5K (and
never more than twice in one week)! So, I hope you will be generous in your donations to spur me on!
My first race is on the 22nd April and I will run each day until the 1st May race in Regents Park. Phew!
All donations will be made to Japan via the Red Cross. For
more information on the vital work they are doing, please visit
www.redcross.org.uk/japantsunami.
Please give what you can to help rebuild lives and keep me running!
If your interested in doing your own, 100k or 10k, please join the team, there is a link on the left of this page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks
Cuan
