We did it!!!

The Runaway Brides completed the River Marathon in a record 4 hours, 55 minutes in cold, rough, windy conditions. Flip through the photo gallery to see us in action.  We had tremendous support all the way through the race, from well-wishing strangers to lovely friends and family cheering us on the bridges and along the riverside.  Although it was an epic blister-making slog, even going against the tide for the last hour, we are still talking to each other.  Just!

With your generous help, we have raised a huge amount of funds for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  We are still a little ways off our target and are hoping to get there before we hang up our wedding gowns for good.   Finding a cure would mean our children with Type 1 diabetes could experience a life without constant responsibility, discomfort, and anxiety for the future.  Please help us get closer to that goal.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many Thanks!

The Runaway Brides,

Alex, Emma, Sophie and Marja-Leena
