Story
I am running the 2011 London Marathon for the Lymphoma Association in memory of Katie Hoppe.
Katie had Non Hodgkins Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, but it never stopped her achieving her goals. Josie and I ran for the Lymphoma Assosication last year but this time, I am doing it alone.
The Lymphomas Association is a charity that offers support and information on a range of issues to people with lymphatic cancers, their families, carers and their friends. She chose it because it offers a service specifically for young people who have the illness, and it really helped her in the initial stages at a crucial and difficult time.
Please give generously as if you know me or witnessed my marathon running technique last year, you will know that I am not known for my athletic ability and your support will be the encouragement that gets me round the Isle of Dogs. I'm running for Katie, who was only 22 and had her whole life ahead of her when this illness got the better of her. Please help me to honour her memory, as she was loved and admired so much.
Thank you for all your support and generosity and I look forward to seeing you along the route on 17th April 2011.
