Story

RUN THE NEW YORK 2010 MARATHON & LOSE 10 STONE IN WEIGHT

TARGET TO RAISE £5,000 FOR AMAZE

So on the 2nd of November 2009 I decided that I wanted to run the New York marathon for charity. There were just a couple of small problems. Not only am I so unfit that I can’t walk up a flight of stairs without passing out and have the lung capacity of a small hampster with asthma.

BUT ALSO!  I just happen to weigh over 25 stone.. That’s right TWENTY FIVE STONE.. TWENTY........... FIVE ....... STONE..... Well 25 stone and a bit of change (25st 3lb)

So anyways being a crazy fool that I am I went ahead and paid my entrance fee and booked myself a swanky flight to New York City for November 2010!

I know what you’re thinking....

Your gonna die

Your Never do it fat boy.

Are you gonna eat the other runners?

Or just laughing because it’s so ridiculous

Well I’ve got 11 months to lose ten stone and become a fully fledged marathon runner and complete the apotheosis of the marathon running world.

New York City Marathon is a gruelling 26 mile run starting in Staten Island, running thru Brooklyn,  Queens, The Bronx and finally finishing in Central Park Manhattan. The reason it is held in such high regard in the running world is because a lot of the course is on a incline. Thus making it double hard for a fatty/blobanaught like myself.

Arr I almost forgot, there’s a second hard bit. I wanna raise FIVE GRAND!  Can’t see any point in doing it for less that, and the charity is a corker so shouldnt be that hard. Might have to do a bit of PR, knocking or kick down some doors but, by golly gosh, Ill bloody well make it!

In the words of Bob Geldof “Gimme your bloody money now”!

So if you fancy me running 26 delightfully long arduous, painful, agonising, miles of hate and/or possibly dying. Click on the link below and pledge some money you wonderful beautiful people!

Wish me luck

Ta ta
