Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I've made the (rather crazy!) decision to run the Bristol Half Marathon to raise money for Dogstar Foundation, who I'm going to visit later this year in Sri Lanka. 

My work will involve caring for the abandoned animals on the streets, nursing them back to health, neutering, vaccinating and rehoming them, as well as  providing affordable veterinary care to those animals whose owners are too impoverished.

This will a) reduce the numbers of stray and abandoned animals on the streets, and b) reduce the rabies threat to the human population, which is currently quite serious. 

As well as having to get masses of jabs (!!), and pay for my own flights and food, Dogstar have requested i raise some money for them to cover the massive costs of running a veterinary clinic and providing operating equipment, vaccines and drugs. I decided the best way to convince people to help was to put myself through a large amount of pain, hence the Bristol Half Marathon! I also plan on doing the 3 Peaks Challenge later this year

So please dig deep and give as much as you can afford, every donation helps no matter how large or small! And feel free to come and support / laugh at me - date is Sunday 5th September.
