Chicago Marathon · 12 October 2008 ·

To provide socio-educational projects for disadvantaged kids to have better prospects in life through education & assistance to ex-residents so that they maintain continuous access to local support network and live in harmony with their families away from the streets.

Story

One lazy sunday morning back in April one housemate turns on the tv to see thousands of crazy fit people running through the streets of London (I would run if i found myself in Bermondsey). He turns to his mate and says

'Why the hell would anyone want to run a marathon?'

'Don't ask me', his friend replies 'is there any left over Pizza?'

'i don't think it would be that hard though'

'Nah, wouldn't be a problem'.

Six months and a lot of pain later Fergie and I will find ourselves running, walking, limping, crying but certainly not smiling as we wind our way, 26 and a bit miles through the streets of Chicago.

As is customary whenever someone puts themselves through pain there is a conscience easing exercise involved so i shall be running on behalf of Task Brasil, a charity dedicated to helping the lives of Brazil's street kids (more details to be found on their website http://www.taskbrasil.org.uk). Please read the description and the website and sponsor me with as much money as possible to help me reach my target!
