Story

*update*

Hello folks!

As you may have heard, a foot injury put me too far behind in my training for me to feel comfortable in running the marathon in 2011.

I've therefore deferred my place until next year.

My training is beginning to get back into place. I've lost a further two stone and my foot is pretty much healed up, apart from the odd twinge. I've been cycling to keep up my cardio, so I'm looking to begin my running again with the next few weeks.

This has all been an annoyance, but I'm not beaten yet. I'm still going to do this, just later than I thought. I know people are doubting me, but please have faith.

I can do this!

Finchy

**************************************************************************

Hello!

If you're here then chances are I've told you about my slightly mental plan of running the Brighton Marathon and have strong-armed you into supporting me. If not, then surprise! Hope you've remembered your wallet!

If you know me then you know what a big challenge this is for me. It's going to take me a lot of time, energy and hard work to get my fitness levels up to what I need for the marathon. There will be blood. There will be tears. There will be a lot of sweat.

So, you should help me. Please. I need all the encouragement I can get. If I know my friends and family are behind me, then that's going to push me to achieve this.

It's all for a good cause too! No, not just getting me fit. I'm donating everything to Cancer Research.

Cancer research are doing amazingly important work. Personally I have lost too many people to cancer, in one way or another. I have seen strong family members and friends be completely destroyed by it and, frankly, I'm fed up of it. I want to make as much money as I can to help them with their work in the hope that one day cancer can be something easily cured.

Please help me as much as you can. I'll love you forever!

Finchy

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
