A very brisk stroll along the Thames!

Richmond Park Marathon 2013 · 5 May 2013
Well folks it’s that time of year again, where stupidly I go out running in all weathers to train for yet another marathon. This year I have decided to run in honour of 2 amazing people, Mark Webb & Heidi Mills, who both suffer with MS.
These guys are my hero's, they are the bravest and strongest people I have the honour and pleasure to call family & friends. Every day they face a hidden battle that none of us could possible understand, but both are winners in my eyes and that is why I have decided that my charity of choice this year is the Chilterns MS Centre, where people like Mark & Heidi can go and get help, advise, respite and just rest for an hour or two. But I'm not only doing it for them, I’m also doing it for their families, for Joanne & Paul, who support them 24 hours a day unconditionally.
On August 24th 2013, I will be running the Thames Meander Trail Marathon 2013. This will be 26.2 miles from Marymount International School, Kingston, through the bottom of Richmond Park (I can’t get away from Richmond that easily!), joining the Thames tow path and following it up to Putney Bridge, where I turn around and come back the way I came, finishing back at the school in Kingston.
On May 5th 2013, I ran in the Richmond Park Trail Marathon 2013. It was a very tough race of 26.2 miles through paths, hills and trails in and around the park, taking in some beautiful sights, even deer!
I hope to use this opportunity to raise funds for the Chiltern MS Centre, which relies almost exclusively on charitable donations. The Chiltern MS Centre helps hundreds of MS sufferers in Hertfordshire and is a really worthwhile cause.
Their mission is simple: 'to provide a sociable atmosphere and offer an opportunity for people with multiple sclerosis to help themselves'.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving –they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you!
