Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare lung disease that only occurs in women. It affects just over one woman in a million. We are a self-help group providing support for patients with LAM and raise money for vital research - it is often difficult to obtain money for research into a rare disease.

Story

I got round safe although it was an awful experience in the heat, massive thanks go to Neil AKA Robin who sacrificed a decent time to help me through, thanks mate!

Thank you all again for your sponsorship and fantastic support.

A massive thank you to all my family, friends, colleagues, customers and suppliers for your amazing donations. In difficult economic times I'm delighted to have more than DOUBLED my £1000 target!

Obviously I am trying to raise as much as I can for LAM ACTION, if you haven't yet sponsored me but would like to do so, you can on this site or please contact me to make a donation offline, I've left the reasons I am running below:

In a moment of madness I've decided to run the London Marathon again! 11 years on and many stones heavier I've been asked by my friend Clare Lauwerys to run and help raise much needed funds for LAM ACTION. I'm delighted I said yes and weight loss is going well (3 stone 4lb so far) and I'm on track with the training - we are now up to 20 mile runs. I will be running dressed as BATMAN with my friend Neil Kendrick who will be running with me dressed as ROBIN,

I really want to make a difference for Clare and support LAM ACTION and hope you can help me in reaching that goal! Thanks for looking up my Run For Lam Action page and thanks again if you can help by sponsoring me.

Cheers

Phil
