Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page

On 27th September 2009, we (Lee York, Laura McCrea, David McMurtary, Amelia Bruce, Chris Taylor, Kevin Markey, Melissa Norton, Ben Wells, Laura Leigh, Aisling Rice, Will Bradley, Clare Endersbee, Stuart Jones and Stephanie Worrell) will be taking part in the "Run to the Beat" Half Marathon in London.

For some of us, this will be our first time taking part in a long distance race; others will be trying to beat a personal best; and some of us will just be happy to get round!! But whatever our personal goals for the day, we will ALL be running with the main objective of raising money for St. Gemma's Hospice, which looked after Lee's Dad.

Live and recorded music will be played around the 13.1 mile course with 12,500 competitors running to the beat. The race start is at the 02 Arena and will head through the closed roads in the leafy borough of Greenwich before heading back to the finish line at the 02 - so please show your support by coming to cheer us on!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: St Gemma's Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please give generously and sponsor us now!

Hope to see you all there!

Thanks :)

From Lee, Laura, Dave, Amelia, Chris, Kev, Mel, Ben, Laura, Ash, Will, Clare, Stuart and Steph xxx
