I can’t believe I’m doing it either but I have agreed to run the Bracknell half marathon at the end of April. It probably wasn’t my best idea ever, but  I was caught at a weak moment, caved in to peer pressure and now I have to run 13 whole miles. Obviously my motivation for this can’t just be because it’s fun (it’s not) so I am getting sponsored to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I’ve chosen that charity because my Grandpa had cancer so it’s given me a real reason to do the run, other than just for the glory of Team Standard (which is obviously very important too).
Anyway, please sponsor me it’s a really good cause and it will make it even better when I cross the finish line if I’ve achieved more than just a personal challenge.
