Story

33 Lush staff and friends are taking part in 3 death defying tests of nerves and endurance - one even on Friday 13th! - to raise money for the Fresh Start Foundation, The Gambia. www.fsfgambia.org

Please give generously as we aim to buy another threshing machine for the women of Kwinella and surrounding areas in the Gambia. Threshing the rice is a daily back breaking routine performed under strong sunshine and often has to be done with a baby on their back. A threshing machine makes a world of difference. It saves their back, saves time and because the machine enables an amount of starch to be removed from the rice, feeds animals too.

For £3,500 we could buy another machine, so that when the women who are traveling for many miles to use Kwinella's, do not arrive to be disappointed because of lack of availability.

Thank you xx

p.s. if we raise more than £3,500 we get to help rescue a school that is in need of attention so the kids can continue their education.
