Cool Earth is a new UK based charity that is tackling climate change by protecting the world’s most threatened rainforests. With destruction of such forest accounting for one in four emissions of CO2, Cool Earth gives individuals and organisation in the UK the means to act directly to protect this critical global resource.

Our personal message:

Thank you for visiting the running4air fundraising page. This page has been created by Ian Mayhew & Martin Nobbs to help raise monies to preserve the rainforest through the Charity Cool Earth (www.coolearth.org). Ian & Martin intend to use the Jungle Marathon (www.junglemarathon.com), a 200k running race held in the rainforest of Brazil, to help them achieve their fundraising target. This event will take place between the 7th & 16th of October, Details of their progress in this respect can be found at www.running4air.org Ian & martins initial target is to save 3000 acres of rainforest. This will be purchased by Cool Earth. A donation of £70 saves 1 acre. Ian & Martin further hope that other runners and like minded athletes will come on board with project running4air and help them preserve as much rainforest as possible.
