Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Hi Everyone, this is my fundraising page.

This May I will be running the Bupa Great Manchester 10k Run in aid of the Parkinson's Disease Society, I pledged to raise £200 for this event, but, I wanted to do more than that, so I've told them I'm going to run Leeds Half Marathon as well and that I aim to raise £500!

This double header takes part over two consecutive weekends and the tricky bit is that I'll be doing the Half Marathon first, in excess of 21k, and then only have seven days to fire my legs back into action before hitting the streets of Manchester for another 10k! The runs take place on the 10th (Leeds) and the 17th (Manc) of May. I'm pretty keen for the challenge!

Your support in this would be massively appreciated. This cause is one that matters a lot to me and the guys at the Parkinson's Disease Society do amazing work in researching a cure for Parkinsons and providing support to it's sufferers and their families.

You know the score, donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Parkinson's Disease Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Massive thank you for your support!

Andy
