Story
I have always been a runner but it has always been about ME! I have never knowingly raised a penny for a good cause despite six marathons, numerous 10ks and triathlons, so it's about time I did some good with my pavement pounding.
Running 4 renewables is raising money for a small solar project in Sierra Leone, one of the poorest countries in the world. The life expectancy for men is 46... the infant mortality rate is over 100 deaths per 1000 births.. but I have been there in 2001 and it is a stunningly beautiful country with wonderful warm hearted and kind people.
Let's help out. The aim is to raise £20,000 to power a community with around 50 homes in the isolated bush in the centre of the country. It's not a lot, so give a fiver and feel righteous! Go on... or spend it on a latte and muffin... and be wracked with guilt for at least a week...
We have so much in the UK.
I would be very grateful for any sum you can give.
