Story
I will be running in The Great North Run on the 15th of Sept 2013 in memory of a very special little girl, Rowan Macie Poole.
Rowan was born with a rare genetic muscle wasting condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
At just 18 months old on the 23rd November 2012, she peacefully lost her brave fight with SMA, Type 1b.
SMA is the UK's biggest genetic killer of children under the age of 2 years old. Currently there is no cure.
By running for Rowan, I hope to raise funds and awareness for the SMA Trust, a charity dedicated to funding vital research into finding a cure for SMA.
Thank You for your support
