Story
Hi Everyone,
Another year, another marathon... Yes, I'm doing it again! I guess that some may say that I'm a glutton for punishment, but the reason for going through the blood, sweat, tears and blisters all over again this year is quite simply that the marathon is such a fantastic chance for charities to raise so much money in just one day. Once again, I’m running for a charity which is extremely close to my heart – The Prostate Cancer Charity - a charity which has proved invaluable to my family in recent years as well as the 35,000 men in the UK who are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year and the families of the 10,000 men who die from it every year – that’s ONE MAN EVERY HOUR.
Brazil nuts, tomatoes, red fruit juices and the understanding a PSA reading and the latest in treatments are just some of the pieces of advice and guidance that my family and the many thousands of other men fighting prostate cancer or trying their best to keep it at bay have benefited from.
Any donation, small (or huge!) makes a massive difference - Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Prostate Cancer Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thank you so much for your support.
Adam
