Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

Every week in the UK, around two families are told their child has neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. We fund leading research projects to deliver new, effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. With your help we can save more young lives.

Story

We knew Abbie Shaw - pictured left, aged 5 - who left us in 2006 after fighting with Neuroblastoma for several years. She continues to be an inspiration to us to run the marathon.
Read her story here: http://www.abbieshaw.me.uk/ (ensure you have a tissue to hand). And http://www.abbiesfund.com/

Through the Neuroblastoma Society (http://www.nsoc.co.uk) we hope to run the Flora London Marathon 2009 and help aid research into this horrible cancer.

Kev's Mum has recently successfully completed a course of chemotherapy and is very much in remission. It is knowing that people can recover from cancer that makes us want to run again for NSOC.

If you are a UK Tax payer, then JustGiving.com recover the TAX part, so NSOC will receive £12 for every £10 donated.
If you are NOT a UK tax payer, then can you contact us  at our  fund raising website: www.RunningDads.com, or directly on our email addresses kevin@RunningDads.com, adrian@RunningDads.com, and transfer cash to the accounts we both have set up for NSOC donations - such that 100% of your donation arrives at NSOC's door.

For those that supported us last year or the year before THANK YOU, and yes, we hope to not injure ourselves on the way to the marathon, by falling of ski lifts or over stretching at a local kick about.

Thank you.
