Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 18th April 2010 Cam, Jen, Lou and Julie are running the first ever Brighton Marathon in memory of Chris Moyle, a very special man close to our hearts, to raise money for the Martlet's Hospice in Hove.

Last year, on the 16th April Chris sadly passed away after a seven month battle against cancer. Chris was a very dear and amazing brother and friend to Cam, us and many others.  He himself ran numerous marathons including London, Paris, the mighty Two Oceans Ultra Marathon in Cape Town and his favourite marathon of all Beachy Head.  He was a well loved part of the running community, representing Brighton & Hove City Athletic Club and sharing his tales on the running commentary website..

Chris' love for running was an inspiration to many, encouraging and supporting others to achieve their goals, giving little phrases and words of encouragement when tackling hills, mud or cows!

Our training is over the beautiful downs, a place where he loved to run. We all have many fond happy memories and stories of both training and racing with Chris, he never gave up, was very tough and positive doing the sport he loved.  He made running fun, and made us laugh even through those moments of pain.

Chris would definitely be running this race today but he will be with us and supporting us and everyone every 26.2 mile steps of the way. When the training and race day becomes hard we will just think of Chris and know that its going to be okay.

Please help us raise money for the Martlet's Hospice who looked after Chris so well when he was ill.  Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.  Alternatively, if you would rather donate offline, then please ask any of us as we have good old fashioned sponsorship forms!

So please dig deep and donate now.  Thank you so much.

Love Cam, Jen, Lou and Julie xx
