Story
Every day 6 teenagers in the UK are diagnosed with cancer. Just at a time when their life is about to bloom they have to deal with all that cancer brings. The Teenage Cancer Trust is committed to supporting the teenagers and their families.
I'm running the London Marathon in memory of Claire Shannan and Andrew Delaney. Completing the distance is going to be difficult but not as hard as facing cancer. Please sponsor me and help them.
You CAN make a difference.
Please dig deep and sponsor me.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Teenage Cancer Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
6th MARCH 2007 - update
Well a little update is in order. My training is going okay ish but is being hindered by a persistent knee problem. (4 months rest should sort it but that's not going to happen!! ) A HUGE HUGE thank you to all the people who have sponsored me so far especially the incredibly generous and thoughtful people of British Blade, BushCraft UK and Song of The Paddle. I've had a few tears by being touched by your generosity. Thank you.
I had a recent tour round the BRAND new TCT unit in Glasgow - a direct result of your generosity, and its a tremendous place. I wish it wasn't needed but for those teenagers unfortunate enough to require it, its some place!
Thanks again. Please keep it coming and if you haven't sponsored me, please, please consider it. K, x
