Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I'm 24 this year - and this is my first ever marathon!
Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Christian Blind Mission UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
I could really do with your prayer support as Jesus is the only one who's going to get me through all the training and round the 26 miles and 385 yard course.
Philippians 4:13.
Thanks for your support.
P.s. I think it’s about high time that I brought you up to date with how my training has been going; since I got confirmation in December 2006 that I would be running on the 22nd April.
I have been putting into action a training regime which consists of running, cycling, swimming, weights, and abdominal workouts.
There has been a few set backs due to injuries but thanks be to God and a lot of prayer support I have recovered and got stuck right back into the programme.
I have to say thanks to my friend and training partner; Lesley who has helped me a lot with advice and accompanying me on some of my weekend runs.
On Saturday 31st of March I ran my first 22 mile training run which was hard work to say the least but very satisfying after having accomplished such a feat.
Trying to fit all this around work and study has been hard but worth it.
After 4 hours and 37 minutes I completed the Marathon. The atmosphere was fantastic, spectators were all around the 26.2 mile course and were cheering all the runners on which was very encouraging.
What made it extra special was that my family and close friends gave up their time to come and cheer me on and it was an added bonus that I actually managed to see them on route which gave me a real boost of encouragement.
I can honestly say that I enjoyed every minute of the race and I can’t wait to take part in another Marathon.
However my opinion changed slightly come Monday morning when I could hardly get out of bed because my leg muscles were refusing to cooperate, but hey, NO PAIN, NO GAIN!!!
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated their money, time, and prayer support and thank you to Jesus for giving me the strength to carry on!
Here are the verses I held onto throughout the race and they are so true!!
Nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37)
I can do all things through him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13)
By Friday 27th April, I was out running again.
P.s. If you are visiting this web page for the first time, it’s not too late to donate! Ooh I’m a poet and I did know it!
Seriously though please check out the Christian Blind Mission web site below, to find out more about what they do with the money donated to them.

I ran it for them; please help me to help them by making a difference!
God Bless!
