My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

Marc and Valeria are going to be taking on the London Marathon to raise funds to help protect seriously endangered rhinos around the world.

Running 26.2 miles is hard enough, but imagine doing it dressed in a 22 kilo rhino suit like the one on the left!  In April, at the London Marathon, Marc is going to give it a go, with the support of Valeria.

Running in the rhino outfit has been likened to being inside a 'giant, noisy, hot crisp packet', and vision is limited to a small gap a few inches wide.  Each rhino is accompanied by a 'Ranger', to ensure they do not finish the race with some poor fellow runner impaled on the horn...

This is Marcs toughest running challenge ever, whilst Valeria will be attempting to beat her Personal Best.  No mean feat for an ex-Olympic Champion rower!

We really hope our efforts encourage you to donate a few pounds/dollars or Euros.  Every donation will give us added incentive to get out on to the cold streets of Bucharest in the coming months to train!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now!

Thank you from both of us.

Valeria and Marc
