Story

4 hours and 20 mins - and an incredible experience. I came 15,967th. In the picture I've just crossed the line with my mate Matt. He had a knee injury and was in a lot of pain from mile 10 where he started running with a limp. Big respect to you mate for pushing yourself - i'm so glad we did together.

I had such a fun day. I was a bit nervous at the start but then that subsides as the warmth of the thousands of people standing in the rain to cheer you on takes hold. I've got so much repsect for the spectators, volunteers and organisers. They really encourage you to go on, and if you write your name on your shirt like we did, they know what to call you as well - it's such a rush :)

I now want to thank all my sponsors who have made this event happen just as much as me. Thankyou to everyone that has sponsored or said that they will (I'm coming for ya). John Grooms has raised about £75,000 for their cause which is a terrific achievement.

If just remains for me to say that this is one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I would recommend it to anyone. You really can - Just Do It.
