Story

On the 3rd of June 2011, Steve Riley, Matt Hutchinson, Ashley Baskerville, Nick Laker, Ben Laker, Jez Tarr, Adam McGlead, Mike Barnes, James Cook, Andy Smith, Doug Kirk, Nathan Wakefield and Richard Hutchinson took part in a fundraising event entitled “Run The Bridges”. Each team member  ran nearly 60 miles over the course of two days, following the proposed route taken by the military in Operation Market Garden. It was tough but all members managed to achieve the goal, once again supported by the magnificent crew in the bus. Although it was very difficult, it pails into insignificance in comparison to the everyday challenges of our armed forces and their families. We hope the money we raised makes a difference and we thank all of our families and friends for their support. On a final note, many may be surprised that Nick Laker has not appeared on the birthday honours list for winning both days, however this is currently subject to a stewards enquiry.
