A Coventry Way Challenge · 18 April 2010

Our vision is of a world where everyone lives in a thriving, resilient community, with access to education, healthcare, and a safe place to live, irrespective of where you are born, or the circumstances that you are be born into.

Story

The people of Haiti need your help. There is a massive job of reconstruction to be done at a time when Haiti is no longer in the news.

Architecture charity, Article 25 is working with Outreach International, who have supported 90 schools across Haiti for over 30 years, and local Haitian partner ODSM. In the earthquake 30 of ODSM’s schools were damaged or destroyed. In a 3-year programme, Article 25 will be coordinating the demolition, site mobilisation and construction of these schools from safe design through to completion. In the process, they will train local people to maintain the new buildings, and improve building skills.

Please sponsor me to run the Coventry Way Challenge on April 18th. The Coventry Way is a 64k (40 mile) footpath route which circles Coventry. The proceeds will go to Article 25. It will be a real challenge for me. I have never run for this long before and I am not built like a runner. You can read about my preparations for the Challenge on my blog.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe; they will never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they send your money directly to Article 25 and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed. So it’s the most efficient way to donate.

So please dig deep and donate now.
