Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am 50 in June and would like to celebrate it by supporting the charity Wooden Spoon. My family and I have been very fortunate and we would like any gifts you may have been minded to give to be diverted to children who are in much greater need than us. The Wooden Spoon supports these children whatever the cause of their disadvantage, physical, mental or social and offers practical, lasting solutions largely to specialist schools in improving facilities via capital projects. The fact that the rugby community was its genesis and is its ongoing patron has differentiated it from many other worthy charities, as I am now a better supporter than I was a player.
I am aiming to row the Thames in the last week of my 49th year and climb the Three Peaks in September, while I still can. The rowing will be in a coxed four with three Lloyd’s luminaries, Andrew Agnew, Charlie Bromfield and Mark Drummond Brady, so those of you who know all of us, will realise how hard Charlie and I are going to have to work! The Three Peaks will be climbed with Kate, my brother and sister in law Miles and Anderley, and old friends responsible for match making me, Sue and James Scott-Gatty.
Thank you very much for your support.
