Brighton Marathon 2011 · 10 April 2011 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Hi there and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On April 10th I will be running my 9th marathon when I attempt to get round the Brighton Marathon and it would be great if you could sponsor me

STOP PRESS

Managed to get round in 4 hours 2 minutes and whilst disappointed to not get under 4 hours (too hot!) pleased that I was over half an hour quicker than last year

I am running on behalf of Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of my niece Laura who tragically died of cancer back in 2007 at the ridiculously young age of 17 and is still missed terribly by all her family. I have been training quite hard and have recently completed a half marathon (1 hour 45) and did an 18 miler last Sunday (3 hours) - I hope to be around the 4hour 15 mark in Brighton

Whilst I have done the dreaded 26.2 miles before I can assure you that it is not getting any easier particularly as I have quite a big birthday coming up this year showing my mature years

I also know that times are tough but any donation - even if only £1 - would be gratefully recieved

Many thanks

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
