In memory of Rupert Rosedale

JCMT provides quality training for young people in mountaineering, by offering subsidised courses run by professional guides both in Scotland and the Alps. Preference is given to young people who would otherwise be unable to afford such training and instruction.

Story

On Sunday 5th September, members of Marlborough college common room will be running the Bristol half marathon in memory of their friend and colleague Rupert Rosedale, who sadly died on the 30th December last year whilst climbing Ben Nevis. They will be running for the Jonathan Conville Memorial Trust which was established in memory of an ex Marlburian who died in 1979 on the Matterhorn. Jonathan Conville and Rupert were two men who strongly identified with the outdoors, where they constantly found challenges. The trust aims to encourage and assist young people to train for and pursue their love of the outdoors, and was a charity that was very close to Rupert's heart.

Your support and donations would be much apprieciated by the Marlborough staff and the Rosedale family.

Runners currently are: Sam Greenwood, Harriet Cox, Tom Birkhill, Alex Arkwright, Helen Bailey, Colin Smith, Julia Hodgson and Ben and Kath Rosedale
