The Bristol Half Marathon 2008 · 14 September 2008 ·

Weston Hospicecare provides expert end-of-life care, free of charge, to people with life-limiting illnesses. Our goal is people can live as well as they can, for as long as they can; we help them feel like family and friends again, not just patients and carers.

Story

Well, this is a new adventure for me as I've only been running since April! I've decided to use the Bristol Half Marathon as a goal to keep me motivated and to raise money for Weston Hospicecare. I've chosen this charity as a family member is under their care and my wife works for them as a nurse. I'm joining 99 other runners who are also raising money for the same cause, this is a great opportunity to raise money for a service that is in great need.

Since committing to running the half marathon my sister-in-law Rose has died in the hospice which makes my committment to raising funds for the hospice even more personal. Achieving £500 would be fantastic!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Weston Hospicecare gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
