I am part of a Channel Swim team made up of people who have had organ transplants. I have had a kidney transplant. The rest of the team is Geoff McCracken (Kidney), Turlough O'Hagan (Bone Marrow), Ernesto Antonio (Heart), Steve Deakin (Kidney) and Helen Hayton (Kidney). We will be swimming the Channel sometime close to the 23 August 2008 (weather permitting).

We are promoting awareness of the Organ Donor Register and encouraging people to sign up. None of us would be able to do such an event without having had 'the gift of life' from another person. For more information see www.uktransplant.org.uk
