Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. UPDATE - I completed the race in 1hr 51 mins and 31 seconds so a personal best for me but just above my target of 1hr 50 mins. Thanks for all the sponsorship, and if there are any final donations this page stays live for a little while yet. Russell Donations to date have exceeded my original hopes, but please remember that- 1. I won't be doing this again;and more importantly 2. This is a very worthwhile cause.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me. Brain Research Trust ("BRT") gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. I am running the Half Marathon and am raising funds for the BRT as my dad died as a result of a brain aneurysm in May and Lynn's dad suffered a stroke. Research in these areas is under funded and every little bit helps. I aim to complete it in 1 hour 50 minutes so you can sponsor me for completing it or for every minute under 2 hours which should help me move my bulk (and what looks like a bag of apples under my t-shirt!)around the course a bit quicker! I'll be wearing an orange t shirt with white sleeves and black shorts for those watching the race ( Think "fat wasp" and you'll spot me ) In August I ran the Newark half in 1.56 but am suffering for it now and there are less than a week to to this race! Please consider sponsoring me now.
Thanks Russell
