IndependentAge helps older people on low incomes to live with dignity and peace of mind by providing a regular extra income, grants for emergencies, equipment to aid independence, the support and friendship of volunteers and nursing and residential care and help with fees.

My personal message:

Hello! Well this is it, I'm running the London Marathon! I still can't quite believe that I'm doing it but too late now!

Anyway this is why I'm running it, I'm running for IndependentAge who make a major difference to peoples lives, and I know that scores of other older people have benefitted from financial help and, sometimes more importantly, with the friendship that this amazing charity offers.
