Nick Beal has been a huge influence to me and others during his life. Even during his illness he continued to inspire through his courage, positivity and determination. Despite being diagnosed with terminal cancer he wanted to take part in the Cumbrian Run again. He didn’t fulfil this goal.
A group of Nick’s friends and family are entering the Cumbrian Run this year on 2 October 2011 and running in his name. We want to show tribute to him by fulfilling his ambition.
Hospice at Home helped us during the last year of Nick’s life. They provided counselling, complementary therapies and gave emotional support that made things slightly more bearable. As a thank you I would like to try and raise some money for this charity. The charity does tons of other invaluable work for people within our local community who have cancer.
I’m asking you to join us in running the 13 miles as Nick Beal. If you don’t want to run and would still like to show your support maybe you would consider giving to this good cause. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
