29th March 2008   Louise's Charity Concert night.   What a fabulous night we had!  Louise Setara and Luke Smith  were superb and the music was fabulous. Jane's house made it even better with great acustics.   Sister Louse had got some brilliant raffle prizes that pushed the total up by miles and the winner were very pleased I am sure AND the night raised £1400!   So if anyone fancies holding a Charity Concert GIVE IT A GO!

27th March 2008        UPDATE............Well Todays the DAY!!!  3.15pm , and Live on Lorna's show on BBC 3 Counties Radio!

Firstly, I must thanks everytone that has donated so far.  I hardly dare guess that we would reach the target, but we are sailing over it, and by Saturday evening I hope we have an enormous amount, over and above our money raised on here, with the money Daniel is donating (see site below)  and now  my sister Louise has organised a 'Charity Lounge Concert'  with Louise Setara  (who has just finished touring with Lional Richie! ) and in JANE'S LOUNGE!! unfortunately we can't ask everyone, as you can imagine even in the largest lounge, there are only so many that can be squeezed in!  (and her's is pretty big.......) and we have all we can manage to 'squeeze'  in, but I will post the amount raised .and of course the NEW haircut!!!

Thanks again

25th Feb 2008

Hi everyone,  Thanks for deciding to at least check out how to see me go bald!

BEFORE you read any further... Please remember that ANY donation on this page  (min £2) is Wonderful and I thank  all of you for your generousity... BUT I have just  found that I have some fabulous, but crazy, family and friends!!

You may ask.....   Why do this?. ……   Simple, if my sister can do it... so can I!

Breast Cancer is terrible for Anyone to be diagnosed (and cured of) ONCE.......but just before Christmas last, Jane my sister was diagnosed with it a second time, having been given the 'all clear' only a few months ago (having been diagnosed almost 17 yrs ago).

She had a mastectomy in January and is now undergoing Chemo, hence her hair is going..... If Jane can go through ‘the treatment, all the stress AND Lose her hair, I can shave mine off for a ‘wonderful cause'  At least mine will all be back in 3-4 months.

Why Willen Hospice?.......Jane's wonderful husband John, tragically died from Cancer last year at only 58,  in fact, one year ago this weekend (24th Feb 07)  and was cared for by the wonderful staff and nurses at the Hospice.  The last few days that Jane, John and their family shared together, were made a little ‘easier’ and much more personal, because of those at the Hospice and by donating to them, we can all actually  ‘see’ exactly where the cash will be helping.

Many thanks for your support.

And there ARE adantages.... save on Shampoo, as Pat says. don't worry about messing you hair up when you get dressed and I don't have to cover the 3 grey hairs I have!

p.s I will upload a photo of  ‘Baldy (& Jane if she will)'.... as soon as Jane has lowered my ears! (once hers has ALL gone.......)
