About my charity : Childhealth Advocacy International Childhealth Advocacy International
CAI is a small international charity dedicated to improving the healthcare and survival rates of babies, mothers and children in developing countries. The charity helps poor communities by training the doctors, nurses and local health providers in emergency life saving skills, refurbishing children’s wards and providing essential equipment.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I am running the BUPA London 10km on 26th of May 2008 to raise money for CAI (Childhealth Advocacy International)- which is the charity I work for- so I can guarantee the money will be well spent!

Please dig deep and sponsor me online- every little helps! To give you an idea of what the money could be used for:

£5 could pay for thermometers for 10 midwives to care for pregnant women and babies 

£10 can provide 2 health workers with vital equipment to resuscitate critically sick children 

£20 would pay for the care of a child orphaned by AIDS for a month 

£50 could pay for a nurse’s salary for one month 

£75 will fully train 5 health workers in emergency care  

£280 is what it costs to treat a child atBamenda Hospital, who has Burkitt’s Lymphoma; an aggressive and fatal, but often treatable cancer
