Story

I have decided to train and attempt to run the Edinburgh Marathon this May in aid of SNAC, the Scottish Network for Arthritis in Children. The charity's aim is to support children, and the families of children affected with Arthritis, it's aims are very close to my heart, as my youngest son Findlay was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis at the age of six. As it is quite a rare condition and commonly regarded as a disease affecting the elderly, it can be difficult for families to network and meet with other families and professionals who can offer crucial support with diagnosis, medication and day to day living. Since SNAC's existence the situation has improved drastically with a regional network of contacts and various events organised nationally throughout the year, offering support and education to those who otherwise can feel isolated and frightened given their situation. I am hoping your donation will help in some way to make the situation better for those children facing this debilitating and painful condition.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
