Story
FINISHED - eventually got to the finish line and claimed my medal (which has not left my sight since!).
That is it for me - it was tough but doing this for charity was the best reason for doing such a silly distance in such a heat!
Thank you so much for all of the support. Today (first day back in work after the marathon) I received a donation that took me over the £2500 target. So happy to make it! Of course if you are still interested in sponsoring me then please do, it will all be put to good use.
THANK YOU!!
I promise to update my blog, just as soon as my legs stop aching ;-)

I am running to support the Samaritans and thought it might help to give you an idea of where the money will go:

£22.90 will pay for the cost of 10 calls;
£36.46 will pay for one phone line for 24 hours;
£94.32 keeps a branch running for 24 hours;
£109.00 pays for 6 months Samaritans Initial Training (SIT 1);
£418.20 pays to run the entire Samaritans network for 20 minutes
Previous campaign ---------------------------------------------------------------> BEAT LLOYD.
(who has the record for the slowest marathon, it took him five days and eight hours to complete the course dressed in a 110lb deep-sea diving suit.)
NB - Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Samaritans gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor me now!
