A few months ago, Ray Grinter, and myself - Jim Strang were trying to decide how to "celebrate" the merger of Rutland and Lincoln County Scouts.  I can't quite remember how it happened... But it appears that - on the 24 - 26 May 2008 - Ray and Jim  will be walking from Oakham Castle in Rutland to Lincoln Castle (in lincoln... :) ) a total distance of 50 miles. 

We would like to thank all those who have donated to this very worthy cause;  Members of the E-goat community; Staff at Vodafone Newark; staff at BAe Systems/INSYTE - Hillend; family and friends; and anyone else I may have missed.  We're still scraping together the remnants of the sponsor forms, and will post the final amount on here as soon as we have it.
