Hi everyone,
This October I’m going to Nepal for three months to work with VSO. I’ll be based in Surkhet with a team of 20 others tackling issues in the community.
A recent outbreak of cholera took the lives of many individuals in the region. I’ll be involved in work to improve local sanitation and health education. Before I go I’m trying to raise as much money for VSO as I can to aid them in their work. The plan is to wax the hair on my legs. It’s not original but I do have fairly hairy legs so it won’t be the most fun thing I do this year.
I’ve decided to stagger the first leg so that I wax a 2 by 5 inch strip for each £20 I raise, then wax the other leg completely when I hit my target. I’m hoping the donations come in in such a way that I don’t have to be walking around for too long with hair on only one leg.
I’ll also be taking part in a 10k, to show off my new legs.
Updates and pictures (maybe even some pain filled videos) will be on my facebook page for anyone who is unavailable to attend the waxing sessions.
I know times are hard but anything you give will be very appreciated. It may even help to numb the pain.
Thanks for looking at my justgiving page.
Ryan
