Ryobi Carrickfergus - Red Cross - Japan Relief
on 21 March 2011
on 21 March 2011
Ryobi Aluminium Castings Ltd is a Japanese owned company which has been operating in Carrickfergus, N. Ireland for 20 years. During this time we have developed very close working and personal links with Japan and more importantly their people.
Like many others it was with shock and horror that we watched the tragic scenes unfold during last week’s Earthquake and subsequent Tsunami.
As our hearts bleed for the loved ones of so many who lost their lives our minds quickly turned to the survivors and for whom life will never be the same.
Today for us life is going on as normal but for them everything is lost; loved ones, homes, possessions and simple medical supplies.
It is with the remaining victims in mind, we as a company who have been lucky enough to make friends with many Japanese people, are organising an “Activities Day” at the plant to raise funds for the relief effort on the 2nd April 2011.
Activities will include sponsored cycle, run, walk, car wash, coffee & scones etc.
For this we plead to your compassion and generosity to help these unfortunate victims by donating to the British Red Cross appeal
If however you feel uncomfortable donating on line please forward a Crossed Cheque made payable to “British Red Cross” to :-
