Edward Lawson is raising money for Cancer Research UK

Thank you for visiting the Saabotage fundraising page.
Saabotage is a team formed to take part in the "Valhalla Run" http://www.valhallarun.com. This is a 2000 mile odessey through Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. All in a car costing less than £100. Team members are Ed Lawson and Colin Cooper with support from the UKSaabs community http://www.uksaabs.co.uk.
Check in for the run closes at 11pm on Sunday 17th August 2008 and the event starts in Copenhagen on Monday 18th.
The team vehicle is a 1989 Saab 900 5 door which was kindly donated by UKSaabs moderator "microcat36" and is currently awaiting a new engine courtesy of UKSaabs admin "TFatC". More updates as work progresses.
Update 18 July - Many, many thanks for all the very generous donations folks! Spread the word. The engine replacement is now completed. Still to connect all the wires and plumbing and get the car through the MOT test.....
Update 6 August - And yet more thanks for some more very generous donations. The car is currently in the garage for the MOT test - a few issues identified but all should be fine in good time for the run
Update 7 August - Team Saabotage is now road legal! Only 11 sleeps till the run begins :-)
Update 14th August. Once again many thanks for all the very generous donations! All of the main issues with the car have now been resolved and we are ready for the off. We will try to update you as the run progresses depending on internet access near to stopover points.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
