Story
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is the world’s leading youth achievement award, giving millions of 14 – 24 year olds the opportunity to develop work-ready skills, and increase employment opportunities by gaining skills to add to their CV.
This year, the DofE is celebrating it's Diamond (60th) anniversary. To mark this milestone, the organisation is encouraging people to undertake a personal challenge, and complete the DofE Diamond challenge.
Through the Jewish Lads' and Girls' Brigade (JLGB), I have already completed the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards, I am now a qualified DofE expedition assessor.
For my Diamond Challenge, I will be undertaking the 3 peaks challenge. The challenge consists of climbing the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in under 24 hours.
Back in 2012, I attempted the challenge, and managed to climb all 3 peaks in 29 hours. This time, together with 4 other JLGB leaders, all of whom are also DofE award holders, we hope to complete the challenge in under 24 hours.
All money raised will go directly to the Duke of Edinburgh's Award charity.
Please give generously, to ensure that the DofE can continue it's fantastic work for another 60 years.
