Hello there! We are Danny Smith and Sacha Chorley and we are planning on a rather inane charity stunt mid-October, to raise money for Operation Smile and Help for Heroes.
Boiled down to it's most basic bits, it essentially involves driving what is little more than
a motorized sofa across the breath of the formidable continent of South America. Arid Desert, colossal Mountains,
thick Amazonian Jungle, you name it, we're probably going to be stuck somewhere in it in the most
impractical vehicle yet devised by man. Stupid, I think so.
There are several teams doing this event, many from all around the world.
Our theme is Britishness. A mighty Union Jack will fly from our Tuk-Tuk, and we will be adorned in Pith Helmets
and other related ridiculousness.
The event organizers require us to raise a £1000 for the worthy charity of Operation Smile, but after that
the rest can be dedicated as we choose. Any extra cash raised over the £1000 will go to Help for Heroes. The actual expedition is self-funded meaning all donations will go direct to the charities.
Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated!
The event leaves Lima around the 26th of October and attempts the 4000km ish journey in a target of two weeks... See you on the other side.... hopefully!
