Hello everyone! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

So please sponsor me now!

November 2008

So, you are probably sitting there now reading this, thinking when and how did I decide to run the marathon?! 26.2 miles!! Well, it's simple really. My very good friend Jess ran it this year (2008) and raised lots of money for charity. The sheer determination and passion with which she took on the challenge really provoked such emotion in me, that I too wanted to do my bit. I am healthy, I am young and I am able, so why not?

Now, I am not a natural runner, and I have not had much experience in this sort of field before, but I have now kitted myself out in all the gear and have read all that I can on how to prepare oneself for such a challnge as this. I will be honest and say that for the first three weeks, I had a little voice in my head that kept telling me that I couldnt do it! But now that I have banished that little voice and am well into the 7th week of my training...I KNOW I can do this.

So, my aim is to raise as much money as possible for The Teenage Cancer Trust and enable the children there to live their lives to the best of their ability, helping them to cope with the treatment that they must undergo to get better, in surroundings that are familiar and safe.

Cancer is a word that most of us push to the back of our minds and hope that we will never be touched by it. But just for one moment, think ´What if'...what if you were diagnosed with this disease? How would you feel? How would you cope? What if a teenage relative had it? It is so easy in this day and age to indulge oneself and close your eyes to the less fortunate around us.

This is your chance to help. Help those that are in need. For a small amount, even just £1,  you can ease the suffering and give hope to the children and parents and you be will making such a difference. Every little helps.

Thanks for listening and helping me help others!

Big love to all...Sades xx

ps...All money donated will be rewarded with hugs!

Saturday 28th March 2009

So, here I am now in the last two weeks of full on training, before I start to taper off before the big day! It's come around so fast and like any first timer, I am starting to feel the nerves a little! I'll be honest to say that the second half of the training has been hard and there has been tears and tantrums at times! I have battled through injury and worse still, having to rest in order to heal. The runs have gotten longer and more frequent and getting up on a sunday morning and running for three hours is no easy feat!

BUT, I am still at it and I am so looking forward to the big day when I run across that finish line and make everyone so proud!

Still along way to go on my fundraising target though, so please donate and help to make a difference. Even just a small amount will do...as every little helps!

Thanks for all who have been supporting me so far. I will not let you down. xxx
