Hello,

This is Sadie again , I am pleased to tell you all that I completed the BUPA Great North Run  , not in a record breaking time , but I never stopped and I ran all the way , my finishing time was 2 hours and 26 minutes.

It was a truly wonderful experience and I met some lovely people over the weekend. For a moment while waiting for the race to start ,  I thought how  surreal it was  to think that 2 years ago I was walking with the use of a stick and now I was about to start the half marathon Great North Run.

With your very kind generosity I have managed to raise so far over £7000 for Leukaemia Research with more donations still coming in ,  and I thank you all again from the  bottom of my heart.

My name is Sadie , I am 38 years old , I am a wife and mother of two small children. Two years ago I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, I have under gone two years of intensive treatment. With the help and support of the medical staff at the  University Hospital in Coventry and Rugby and my family and friends, I managed to survive.
I am now in remission , and live each and every day to the full. Having secured a place to represent The Leukaemia  Research Fund , I am taking part in “The BUPA Great North Run “ Please Please  help me to fund research which will help to eradicate all types of Leukaemia for people  in the future – ordinary people like me and you.
