Classic FM is proud to announce its new charity: Make Some Noise – we will help disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Thanks to your support, we have grown over the years and we will continue to help those affected by illness, disability, bereavement or lack of opportunity.

Story

Hi, and thanks for visiting our page,

On 13 March 09, seven intrepid KPMG staff members will be downing laptops and heading for the dunes of Morocco to participate in a 10 day trek across the Sahara desert.

The team consists of Crispin Lyden-Cowan, Michelle Cercone, Jim Hodges, Anthony Woolf, Armin Fell, Barrie Roulston and Martin Douglas.

Led by a local guide and a flock of camels and armed with just a few tents, some comfortable shoes and plenty of water, we will be starting our long journey in the snow-capped mountains in the West and descending down into the desert and across the vast expanse to the East, ending with a return journey to the delightful town of Marrakech for some traditional Moroccan bartering.

Our aim is to raise as much money as possible for the ClassicFM Music Makers Charity which helps needy children and adults in the UK through music therapy and education projects.

In addition to raising money through sponsorship, we will also be holding a number of fundraising events. Details of these events can be found on our facebook group '7 KPMGers Trek the Sahara for Music!'

Please help us in our efforts by contributing whatever you can as every little bit counts.

Thanks,

The KPMG Sahara Trek 09 Team

Crispin, Michelle, Jim, Anthony, Armin, Barrie and Martin
