My story

On Friday 13th November 2009, Dan & Nazir will be departing for Morocco to take part in a seven day trek across the Sahara desert.

It's gonna be hard. Intensive training will be needed to prepare for walking and sleeping in desert conditions but it's for a worthwhile cause.

The MU Foundation is a delivery organisation with one of the projects they deliver being the Kickz project which Naz & Dan work on in Trafford.
The MU Foundation is making a real difference in this community by simply engaging young people through sport. Violent crime rates are down significantly since the project started.

Please help us raise money for an organisation which is making a real difference in hard to reach areas, giving young people positive exit routes and keeping them away from gun and gang crime.

The Manchester United Foundation not only raises money for this and for UNICEF, but also raises funds for two national and four local charities:

- The Children's Society – Providing help and understanding for children who face the greatest danger, discrimination and disadvantage.
- Cystic Fibrosis Trust – Funding research to treat, cure and support CF sufferers.
- Rainbow House – Giving a brighter future to children with disabilities.
- Christie's – Raising money for one of Europe’s leading cancer treatment centres.
- New Children’s Hospital Appeal – Raising funds for Manchester’s new state-of-the-art Children’s Hospital.
- Francis House - Giving respite for families by giving terminally ill children a loving home from home

Sport has a unique way to bring people and communities together, to inspire, excite and most importantly, to provide hope to those who need it most.
