On May 13 2011 Saba Shafi and Roya Soudbaksh, members of Global Action for Development will be visiting the Western Sahara refugee camps.
Saba and Roya are looking to raise money to provide funds to help the School provide lunches for the students and as such allowing them to stay in school longer. Your donations will go towards the following:

The School is run by 38 year old Jumeila. Many of the students have severe physical or mental disbilities. Jumeila also looks after children suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome. Many of these students have lost parents and families at a young age and have struggled to return to school. Outside of school hours Jumeila and the staff will spend an hour with the families to educate them about their children and ensure they understand the importance of sending their children to school.

To eep the children going to school, Jumeila personally drives students to and from school and where possible provides a midday meal for the students. Most of the students need to be driven to school and few can afford their own transport. Without school lunches the students need to be taken home and spend less time in school.
