For those of you that dont know who we are, my name is Martin Quinnin, I am Commercial Manager at Sainsburys in Gosforth, I am doing the Great North Run with Sam Page a Team Leader on Checkouts, and 2 of my friends: Vince McCluskey a paramedic (its good to have one at hand if need be!) and Andrea Fegan who is coming over form Northern Ireland.
The reason we are doing the Great North Run is to raise as much money as possible for our store sponsored charity St Oswalds hospice based in Gosforth.
We have already raised over £1500 since October 2008, but want to raise another £3000 by completing the run.
Those of you who know us are aware that we arent the most athletic and we enjoy our takeaways!
In total we will be runninng just over 13 miles from the centre of Newcastle into South Shields, there will be over 50000 participants, and we really appreciate anything that you can donate!
