Story

The intercession and care of St Joseph has sustained the Dominican Sisters of St Joseph over many years - especially in times of material and spiritual difficulty. The Sisters now wish to honour and thank their patron in a unique way... and for this they need your help.

Our plan is to create a beautiful shrine to Jesus and his foster father in the grounds of the Dominican Sister's Priory, at Sway in the New Forest. This will depict St Joseph the carpenter working in his Nazareth workshop, assisted by the youthful Jesus.

David Harding, carpenter and sculptor, has crafted scale models of what will eventually be life-sized carvings. The Dominican Sister's of St Joseph have now approved his design and a site for the shrine has been identified. The building of the shrine can begin in the Priory grounds as soon as the necessary funds have been raised.

Your contribution will help us to pay David while he works on this project....for the labourer deserves his food (Matt 10:10). Please be as generous as St Joseph.
